Miguel's a loser, of that we all know. Asking Island 106 employees WON'T get you the dough. Look at everyone around you and dissect their traits- "stubborn" is the one that will make you feel great.

Specific Contest Rules
 
DO NOT FOLLOW A PERSON WHO ANSWERS 'YES' TO YOU, OR STATES THEY ARE THE ISLAND 106 $3,000 FREE MONEY FUGITIVE TO ANY LOCATION.
 
ALWAYS STAY IN A PUBLIC AREA
 
THE TRUE FUGITIVE WILL PROVIDE IDENTIFCATION AND GIVE YOU A LETTER ON ISLAND 106 LETTERHEAD, SIGNED BY SENIOR MEMBERS OF THE STAFF.
 

 

The following rules apply to the Island 106 3,000 Free Money Fugitive contest, sponsored by radio station WILN/Island 106  (the "Station"), which is owned and operated by Magic Broadcasting II LLC. By participating in this contest, listeners agree to be bound by these rules. The following rules are in addition to the General Contest Rules found on www.island106.com, and which are also stated in the section entitled "General Contest Rules".
1.     Listeners will be encouraged to search the ISLAND 106  immediate listening area to find the Island 106 Free money $3000 Fugitive in order to win the GRAND PRIZE of $3,000.
2.     The ISLAND 106  Fugitive holds the “key” to the Grand Prize. The “key” is a winner’s letter (on station letterhead and signed by Station management) that contains a phone number the contestant has to call, with a password to confirm the Island 106 Fugitive has been caught.
3.     In order to receive the Grand Prize following verification of the password, the winner must present two forms of government issued picture I.D., at the ISLAND 106  Studios, located at 7106 Laird St. Panama City Beach, FL,  or other identification acceptable to the Station, and comply with the other applicable elements of these rules and the General Contest Rules. 
4.     The ISLAND 106  listening area is defined by the broadcast range of the station (excluding Internet streaming)..
5.     Clues as to the ISLAND 106  Fugitive’s identity or location will be given on the air and will be posted on www. ISLAND 106.com within 24 hours.   Friday’s clues will be posted on the following Monday. Different clues will be given out beginning October 10, 2013, three  times daily (Monday thru Friday) at 7:00am, 10am, & 4:00pm until  the ISLAND 106  Fugitive is caught. Three clues will be announced each weekday for the duration of the contest. CLUES WILL NOT BE REPEATED outside of those times.  Bonus clues may also be given and notification will be made at www.island106.com or on The ISLAND 106  facebook page as to where you can collect the bonus clue.
6.     The contest will operate from October 10, 2013 until the Grand Prize is won, seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8  p.m. (the "Contest Hours").  The Station may at any time in its absolute discretion terminate or suspend the Contest.
7.     In order for a contestant to win, the contestant must be 18 years of age as of Octobober 10, 2013 and must discern the location and/or identity of the ISLAND 106  Fugitive, then approach this individual, and say, (verbatim), “Are you the Island 106 three thousand dollar free money fugitive?” If it IS the ISLAND 106  Fugitive, the contestant will be given the key – which is a winner’s letter on station letterhead and signed by Station management that contains a phone number and a secret password. To claim the Grand Prize, the contestant must call the number, and when prompted, repeat the password.   
8.     The question must be asked directly, in person, and in close physical proximity, to the person the listener believes to be the ISLAND 106  Fugitive. If that person is the ISLAND 106  Fugitive and has been questioned with an acceptable question listed above during the Contest Hours while the Contest is ongoing, and otherwise in accordance with the Contest Rules, the ISLAND 106  Fugitive will answer “yes” and that contestant will, subject to complying with these Contest Rules in full, win the Grand Prize! If th successful contestant fails  or is otherwise disqualified, proves to be inegible etc, The Fugitive will decline awarding the prize and the contest will continue as per usual. If the winner is disqualified after the fact (i.e. the winner somehow rigged the contest to win) The Fugitive Contest will start over again.
9.     If more than one person approaches and correctly questions the ISLAND 106  Fugitive, the winner of the Grand Prize will be the person who asks the complete question first.  If more than one person correctly asks at the same time, the Grand Prize will be divided equally between these people.  All decisions as to which person has correctly questioned the ISLAND 106  Fugitive first, or which persons have correctly questioned the ISLAND 106  Fugitive at the same time, will be at the absolute discretion of the ISLAND 106 Fugitive and no correspondence or discussions will be entertained. The ISLAND 106  Fugitive’s decision is final.
10.  Contestants must not approach and/or question the ISLAND 106  Fugitive (or anyone they believe may be the ISLAND 106  Fugitive) if any of the following apply:
·         outside the Contest Hours or while the Contest is not operating;
·         The person being questioned is traveling in private transport.
·         The person being questioned is in a private residence or place of accommodation.
·         The contestant is ineligible to participate in the Contest or to win the Grand Prize.
If any of the foregoing applies, questions posed may not be answered truthfully by The Island 106 Fugitive.
11.  There is one person who has been appointed and nominated by the Station as the ISLAND 106  3 THOUSAND DOLLAR FUGITIVE.  The Station may at its absolute discretion at any time replace the ISLAND 106  Fugitive with another person selected by the Station (i.e. if the Fugitive is unable to work, has a death in the family and must attend a funeral, etc.)
12.  The Station does not guarantee the safety of participants in this Contest. By participating, contestants agree that the Station, Magic Broadcasting II LLC. and its affiliates, its or their directors, officers, employees and associates will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind suffered by participants, as a result in whole or in part, directly or indirectly relating to this Contest.   The Station, Magic Broadcasting II and its affiliates, its or their directors, officers, employees and associates are not responsible for the negligence of contestants or any other person.
13.  Winners are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, and/or other costs that may be associated with the winning of a prize.  The winner cannot be a spouse or relative of the fugitive. 
14.  Each clue will pertain directly or indirectly to the ISLAND 106  Fugitive’s identity or location, but will not lead participants away from the ISLAND 106  Fugitive.
15.  The ISLAND 106   Fugitive will be easy to access and/or approach. Any contestant found searching on private land, or using private land to access or gain unfair advantage to the ISLAND 106   Fugitive, will be immediately disqualified and ineligible to win the Grand Prize. Anyone participating in the Contest must follow the rules of the Contest, as well as the rules and regulations of the locations where they may seek out the ISLAND 106  Fugitive.  
16.  No destruction of private or public property or act of trespass is necessary to find the ISLAND 106  Fugitive. No risk-taking is required to locate the ISLAND 106  Fugitive.
17.  The interpretation of these and all other rules relating to the Contests or promotions sponsored by ISLAND 106   is reserved exclusively to the Station.  All decisions made in respect of the Contest by the Station and its personnel will be final (unless otherwise determined by ISLAND 106  in its discretion) and are not subject to appeal.
18.  The winner of the Contest will be required to take part in all publicity activity associated with the promotion, including, but not limited to, phone calls, radio, TV, or press interviews, etc., for the duration of the promotion- and any time thereafter when there is publicity associated with the promotion.
19.  By participating, the winner agrees not to engage in any negative interviews or make any disparaging comments or statements about the Station, Magic Broadcasting II LLC. or its affiliates, its or their directors, officers or employees or associates. By accepting the prize, the winner grants permission to the Station to use his or her name, photograph, voice, and likeness for the use in advertising and/or publicity.
20.  Each contestant and the winner agrees to assist the Station in the conduct of any investigation deemed necessary or appropriate to determine the legitimacy of the contestant’s fair play. This includes, but is not limited to, attending interviews and full disclosure of any relationship the contestant may have with the person identified as the ISLAND 106  FUGITIVE
21.    The Fugitive is open to all persons who are 18 years of age or older and who reside in Bay County, Fl.  Employees of the Station, family of the fugitive, participating sponsors, other radio stations in Bay County/Panama City, FL., the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win.  This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, State and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
22.  No purchase of any kind is necessary to win.
23.  ISLAND 106  reserves the right to amend these rules without notice.
