Mandy Writes A Letter To Her Son On His First Day of Kindergarten

by Mandy Williamson posted Aug 21 2013 7:56AM
My sweet little baby boy is headed off to his first day of Kindergarten……..

AHHHHH It's hard to believe that my babies are all growing up, "Part of me wishes I could go back in time to when I looked into your big blue eyes for the first time.

So sweet and innocent yet full of love. Oh how the time flies. Everyone always told me to enjoy little moments because they grow up in the blink of an eye and that’s exactly where we’re at.

Yesterday you were being born and today you’re my little Kindergartner in elementary school. Not a baby, not a toddler, not a preschooler!!!!

This is a big moment for you. Something you’ll remember forever.

I’m so sad I can’t be there to give you a great big hug and let go of your hand as you go into your kindergarten class but it probably best.

I’d just be a crying mess, I’d more than likely just sit down in a desk and stare at you is disbelief that you are in kindergarten and then you’d ultimately be embarrassed by me.

I hope you have a wonderful first day and if you’re good all week I’ll take you to the store for a prize.

mandy I know how you feel. I have a first grader and fifth grader. I remember when they were born and the first time I held them in my arms. now I cant hold them like that no more. I had another baby 2 years ago. it sure don't seem like it has been that long. I would have went with him anyway if you could have. you are a great mom. I love the letter you wrote to your son. no matter how old he is he will always be your baby... :)
